2002 Chacircteau du Glana

Firm strutured, with aromas of blackcurrants, cedar and spice and classy oak finish. A wine to accompany roast lamb. This is a classic example of St Julien, and gives its neighbours like Ducru Beaucaillou and Leoville Barton a run for their money in terms of value. All are situated on a ridge of pebbles left by a retreating glacier. This well drained corrugation provides perfect growing condtions for the Meffre family39s 42 hectares of Cabernet 67%, Merlot 27% and Cab Franc 6%. 20% new oak is used here. Drink 2010 2014.
