This amazing amphitheatre of weathered granitic terraces in Kaysersberg, north west of Colmar, is one of the finest sites of the Haut Rhin, officially designated a Grand Cru thanks to the efforts of previous generations of Blancks winemakers since 1610. The 2006, organically fashioned, is a substantial and intense Riesling with racy acidity and classic aromas of flowers, petrol and apples.
