Bodegas Beronia is a relative newcomer to the Rioja scene. The winery was founded in the 197039s by a group of businessmen who thought the idea of their own wine rather attractive. They chose a perfect site on the slopes of the Mendiguerra mountains which was perfect for creating a style of Rioja that winemaker Matias Calleja describes as 39the most natural and genuine possible39. Only sustainable farming techniques are used and they are always keen to experiment with different regimes of barrel.
