1999 Chacircteau Rauzan Gassies Margaux 2egraveme Cru Classe Bordeaux

This estate has a long history dating back to 1661 which seems to include, over the years, connections with every great Bordeaux Chacircteau of the Haut Meacutedoc. In 1792, at the time of the French revolution, the property was divided into the two estates of Rauzan Segla and Rauzan Gassies. In 1946 the property was bought by the Quieacute family who are still there today. They farm 28.5 hectares of vines of an average age of 35 years. Keen on modern technology the young monsieur Quieacute is a great advocate of machine harvesting and has proven the efficacy of such with regular harvests of consistently good wines. An old classic with a modern twist.
